ABOUT

Over the years we have out-grown two premises, and in 1986 opened our existing office at 77-79 Dundee Street, Carnoustie, with a service room seating 90 mourners, two rest rooms and purpose-built mortuary.

In 1989 we opened premises, at 21 High Street Monifieth, including office, service room seating 50 mourners, and two rest rooms.

Selwood is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), the British Institute of Funeral Directors (BIFD) and the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF).

STAFF

Lindsay holds the NAFD DipFD, gained in 1983, and is a member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors.

Norma takes care of the accounts and has run the office since its conception.

The staff have all been trained in the firm by the partners:
• Robin Marshall joined the firm on a part-time basis at first, then become full-time in 1994, and gained his NAFD Diploma in 1996, and is also a member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors.
• Douglas Findlay also joined the firm part-time, and since 2006 has been our third full-time funeral director.
• Elaine Bowman is the office administrator in Carnoustie, while Shona Hayes and Frank Thomson take care of administration duties at the Monifieth office.
